Heart [härt]
The muscular organ that pumps blood through the circulatory system.

The heart shape is a symbol of love, but a real heart looks nothing like a valentine. A long time ago, people used to think your heart, not your brain, ran your body. Today, we know your heart is a muscle, the most important muscle in your body. Over an average lifetime, the heart beats more than two and a half billion times, pumping thousands of liters of blood through your body. And if this finely tuned engine stopped, you'd be dead in minutes!
