Planets ['plă-nəts]
Celestial bodies moving in an elliptical orbit around a star.

Scientists are always learning new things about the planets and our solar system. The solar system is home to eight planets and one dwarf planet. They are all different types and sizes. Some are rocky, some are made of gas, some have rings, some have moons, and one is almost all ice. They all revolve around our sun in their own unique orbits.
