Snakes [snāks]
A cold-blooded animal with a long, cylindrical body and no legs.

Many people fear snakes, but very few of them are actually poisonous or dangerous. Snakes live almost everywhere on earth and eat other animals. They don't have the right kind of teeth to chew their food so they eat their catch whole. Poisonous snakes inject poison into their prey, which starts the digestive process even before the food has been swallowed. Snakes use the scales on the underside of their bodies and muscles to scoot across the ground.
