Dr. Caroline Faure
Assistant Professor of Sport Science and Physical Education, Idaho State University
Dr. Caroline Faure (EdD; ATC) is an Assistant Professor of Sport Science and Physical Education at Idaho State University, where she teaches classes in sports medicine and sports law.
Dr. Faure is most recognized for her work promoting youth sport safety. In particular, Dr. Faure's work with concussion education and management outreach is renowned throughout the state. In 2009 she started a concussion awareness campaign in Idaho targeting those involved in youth and adolescent sports. Last year she was instrumental in getting the Idaho Legislature to adopt new concussion management guidelines. She continues to work with sport leaders statewide to formulate concussion management policy to keep kids safe in sports.
Prior to coming to ISU, Dr. Faure spent 10 years as a high school teacher and athletic trainer. She also continues to provide volunteer medical services to young athletes throughout the region, including those participating in youth football, youth soccer and high school rodeo. For her efforts, Dr. Faure was recognized in 2010 as Idaho's Top Health Care Hero (Educator category). She also received the 2011 Idaho State University Distinguished Service Award.
