Zoology [zō-'ä-lə-jē]
The study of animals and animal behavior.

Zoologists study animals of all shapes and sizes. They learn what animals eat and how they live. They study how animals, plants and humans all interact in the environment. Some zoologists work in the wild, and some work in zoos, research stations or laboratories. Some study parts of an animal while others study the whole animal.
