 - muscle of the upper arm

gluteus maximus
 - muscle located to the rear and above the legs - often called the butt
goose bumps
 - small bumps on the skin when cold or scared

 - the small opening in the skin where hair grows

masseter
 - muscle in the jaw responsible for chewing
musculoskeletal system
 - all of the muscles, bones, joints, and related structures, such as the tendons and connective tissue, that function in the movement of body parts and organs

nervous system
 - large body system which controls brain and nerves

pectorals
 - muscles in the upper chest
physical exercise
 - body activity which improves or maintains good health
protective gear
 - helmets, shin pads, etc. which protects the body

quadriceps
 - muscles of the upper thigh

sartorius
 - long muscle which connects the hip to the knee - part of the quadriceps
shivering
 - shaking of the body due to cold or fear
skeletal system
 - a body system which includes all of the bones, joints, and cartilage
smooth muscles
 - muscles of the body which make up the internal organs and other parts over which a person has no physical control
sprain
 - severe tear of muscle tissue
stapedius
 - muscle which is attached to one of the small bones of the inner ear
susceptible
 - unable to resist

voluntary muscles
 - muscles that can be consciously moved and are attached to the skeletal system

X

x-ray
 - a light wave used to see through skin, used to diagnose bone breakage and other illness
x-ray technician
 - a medical professional who takes, processes, and reads x-rays
